Melrose Beach Resort
Welcome to Melrose Beach Resort, (MBR), located at the heart of the shoreline in Talacagay Bay. Privately owned and cared for, the resort has gardens surrounding the homely Talaver villa, built in 1998 and set in over one hectare of landscaped coconut plantation.
Guests can roam around the beautiful tropical gardens which have been nurtured by the owner over the past fifteen years. The flora and fauna is stunning.
There is a tranquil fish pond too, next to which our guests can relax in the shade and reflect on their day.
At dusk, guests can enjoy drinks and local 'balutan' in our poolside nipa huts whilst watching the stunning Negros Occidental sunset over Talacagay Bay.

The private beach at Melrose is fine sand and clean, giving access to safe bathing in the bay all year round.
For those of you with a need for speed, by separate arrangement with the owner, a jet-ski can be rented by the hour.
Snorkeling is a popular pastime too in Talacagay Bay and for those wishing to explore further, MBR has a pump boat and driver at your disposal to be your navigator. Just 25 minutes away there are 'must see' destinations for all marine enthusiasts at Obong Caves and in Campomares Bay.
Inland, the lush green hills and mountains provide a beautiful backdrop to MBR and there are many trails to follow for those who like to hike. A guide can be provided for those guests wishing to do this.
Take a visit to our local markets where you can savor the local culinary delights, an array of handmade crafts and be sure of a welcoming smile too.
Why not rent a car and visit Sipalay? Just 20 minutes north, along the main highway that twists and turns to reveal fantastic hill top views of the stunning coastline.
Sipalay, whose name originates from the native phrase 'si palay', meaning 'there is rice', offers some of the best diving in the Philippines. The owner of MBR can avail of discounted rates for her guests on equipment hire at several PADI approved resorts and will be happy to assist you in making the best choices on destination and travel itineraries.
There is so much to enjoy here, so we hope you can find the time to visit us in 2018.
